Bhagavad Gita in unnstretch

Why is the app based on the Bhagavad Gita?

Think of the Bhagavad Gita as a self-help manual. 🧘 It dives into topics like purpose, resilience, and inner peace — stuff that's still super relevant today — while helping you understand the universe's flow from divinity and destiny to everyday choices.

Where can I apply this in my life?

From handling that stressful group project 📚 to navigating tricky friendships 👯‍♀️. From career stress 💼 to those "what's my purpose?" moments 🤔. Think of the battle in the story as internal conflict. The Gita's got wisdom to sprinkle on practically every corner of your life. Different people find different moments throughout their lives where the teachings from the Gita help them.

About the unnstretch app

Does the app contain original verses from the Bhagavad Gita?

Sure does. Next to those avatars, tap where it says Verses followed by numbers to see an easy to understand translation of the verses. This translation is meant to make it easy to understand the essence of the verse and is not a literal translation.

Tap the verse bubble in the expanded view to read the original verses in Sanskrit. The view that opens also shows an IAST transliteration of the verse in non-Devanagari characters.

Who are all those people?

Think of them as the original crew of the Gita — the characters of the story. 😎 In the expanded view in the app, tap on their avatars and get to know them — who they were and a fun fact that'll make you go "hmm, interesting!"

What are those badges, and why are some of them grayed out? Why reveal the story a few verses a day?

Because trying to understand the entire Bhagavad Gita at once is like trying to drink an ocean. 🌊 It gets deep! unnstretch gives you little sips everyday so you can actually absorb it and apply it to your life 🌱

The badges celebrate your progress through the chapters. Chapters with grayed out badges are unlocked when its last set of verses are read. The story progresses day by day, and you'll see the next set of verses the next day you return to the app. Unlocked chapters and verses can be read anytime. Swipe left to see the previous verses from a chapter.

Is the unnstretch content generated by AI?

unnstretch uses a combination of AI and human writing with a vision to make profound ancient texts approachable and relevant to maximum number of people. The Bhagavad Gita is written in Sanskrit, a classical language that is not commonly used anymore. It frequently conveys concepts where generated translations lead to oversimplification, making human intervention necessary to preserve the depth of the overall text.
